Good Morning, Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Memorial Day!!!

With everything in bloom and turning green also comes the wind…lots of wind. Bet you never thought you would be working on your “wind game”. Call the Pro Shop for some tips on playing in the wind and for your next tee time. Their number is 427-3947.

We had a spectacular Easter Sunday Brunch this year with over 500 in attendance. The Children’s Easter Egg Hunt was also really fun this year with so many new faces and lots of familiar ones. Thank you to all of our wonderful members for sharing this day with us. Thank you also to our terrific staff for a job well done!

We would like to invite all of our members to bring that special lady or ladies in your life out for a very special Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 13th. Brunch will again be from 11:00am until 2:00pm. This too is a very busy day here at the club and your help by making a reservation is greatly appreciated. Call the clubhouse today to make yours!!! NOTE: The North Porch breakfast buffet (usually from 7:00am until 10:00am) will not be available on this day, however, breakfast is always available in the Grille.

Golf events coming up in May include Ladies Guest Day, Tuesday, May 15th and the Men’s Spring Round-Up scheduled for Thursday, the 17th of May. Our first Couples Twilight Golf this year was canceled due to possible inclement weather. But don’t worry, the next one is scheduled for Friday evening, May 25th and will be followed by a dinner buffet in the clubhouse. ATTENTION Members!!!
The Swimming Pool opens for the season on Saturday the 26th of May. The pool hours of operation will be Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00am until 8:00pm and on Sunday, 11:00am until 8:00pm. The Snack Bar will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am until 7:00pm and on Sunday, 12:00pm until 6:00pm.

Make plans now to join us for Memorial Day, Monday, May 28th. We’ll begin with a breakfast buffet on the North Porch from 7:00am until 10:00am followed by a Burger/Dog buffet in the Grille from 11:00am until 3:00pm. At the pool we’ll have poolside beverage service from 12:00pm until 5:00pm with fun & games for the kids and a DJ from 1:00pm until 5:00pm. Don’t forget your hats, floaties and sunscreen and join us on this fun-filled day. Please remember that all facilities will be closed on Tuesday, the 29th of May.

Our course superintendent, Jerry Broughton and his staff, are still working diligently on the course as golf season is upon us. As you know, this is an on going process so please bear with them as they continue their efforts to provide you with the best possible playing conditions. As always, we ask for your help by repairing ball marks and divots. We appreciate and thank you for your continued support.
